For the Olympic VSN Challenge, Red Mittens...we were to make a card inspired by the red mittens that the torch bearers are wearing during the Vancouver Olympics! We were to include red and white on our card, also something warm and fuzzy on our card, and some snow (in the form of Stickles or Liquid Applique!)...
I had the PERFECT mitten image by Waltzingmouse Stamps! I paper pieced the inside portion. I stamped it with Background Basics Diamonds from Papertrey Ink, since it reminded my of a Nordic/Olympic ring type pattern. My snow is Frosted Lace Stickles, and a bit of blue yarn and a cozy sentiment to help someone feel warm and fuzzy! This was SUCH a great challenge, and I, too, want those Vancouver mittens!!

Love the mitten, and it looks so good with the grey and black. You're right, the background reminds me of the Olympic rings too.
