Thank you Julia, for a most timely challenge, Textiles. We are in the midst of a whole house remodel and fabrics are what I am dreaming about most every day now! There's upholstery, curtains, draperies, rugs, oh, just every sort of thing. I've had samples pinned to my windows, couches, and chairs for months now and it's time to PICK. Have a look at my 'design board'.
For my project today, I used actual samples. Barkcloth Hawaiirecycled glass tilesdiner booths. I paired them with the cute log cabin birdhouse stamp by Stampa Barbara and the HOME sentiment from Green Pepper Press. The fabu sofa stamp is a Rubber Stamps of America image colored with Copics in almost the colors I have chosen various shades throughout the house. The wild piece of laminate is the top of our diner table, it's ebony with turquoise/green/white boomerrangs. I added a bit of brown net along the top to add texture and remind myself of the 'package' I am wrapping. At least that's how the designer from Ethan Allen put it!!!
So thanks for looking, I'd love to hear what you think! It's Friday eve all...almost for the VSN mini warmup.

So many different elements and textures on this card, Susan! Lucky you, to be doing a whole house remodel! Love that birdhouse, the barkcloth, and those tiles are fabulous!

Susan, I feel like I am peeking into your home of the future. What an exciting but daunting challenge you are facing with a remodel. Today's challenge is much easier to complete. Very cool idea for today's submission and a little piece of 'Joy for all of us to see.

Susan, this is so artistic. I love the colors. They are what I would use if I were brave enough to try something. If it were left to me, our house would have nothing but white walls. The better to reflect the light. No curtains, to let all the light in. I did compromise and let my husband put up sheer curtains, and I let him paint the livingroom a pale green.
