| This card fits 2 challenges: 1. Saturday Spotlight's "Let the Sunshine In" to help us get rid of those snowflakes. 2. Inspirational Card Sketches Sketch 50.
I started by cutting out all of my pieces and matting what I could. The very back piece of yellow cardstock was embossed with the lines texture plate once going one way and then I flipped the paper 90 degrees and embossed it the other way to give it a checkerboard texture that matches the pattern of the dp. I stamped the image by coloring in the images with embossing markers and then stamping them and going over them with clear embossing powder while they were still wet. Then I colored it in with chalks. The rabbit I stamped twice and cut out the second one and attached it over the original with pop dots to give it more dimension. I also went over the edge of the innermost square and the saying with blue chalk to give it more visual interest. To keep the card from getting too bulky, I cut out the middle of the yellow pieces. Yay for scraps! Then I arrranged everything and attached them to my base card. Lastly, I attached blue jewels in the corners of the yellow papers to jazz it up a bit. |
