Hi! This card was made for today's Ways To Use It Challenge: Cut It Out. Participants were to cut out the focal image or the sentiment for their cards. I did both!
This is the same Sneak Peek stamp I used yesterday, but I altered it by stamping the image and cutting away some of the bulkiness of the face and the back. You see, I wanted to make the cat look like Markie's little YumYum, (Yummie to us). She's a small "blue Siamese" and litter mate of the much bigger KoKo. Yes, they are named after the Lillian Jackson Braun Cat Who series animals.
Yummie is a VERY curious animal and likes to experiment with CATNIP...As a matter of fact...she's an addict! LOL To "calm EVERYONE's nerves" before a vet appointment, we sprinkle just a tad on the community catfood bowl. The first time we did that, Yummie crawled into the bowl, pushed the catfood onto the floor and lay there! Her head was weaving and bobbing like one of those bobble heads! So, she's the ONLY cat NOT allowed to have CatNip!
To create the color, I stamped her in Nick Bantock's Charcoal onto Watercolor paper and used an aqua painter to pull color from the sides and dark areas into the lighter areas. The eyes were colored with a Copic Marker...And, yes, her eyes are THAT color! (We even named a "paper" after that color!)
The filigree is a Spellbinders Frame cut down to fit around the ovals.
Finished card size: 5 1/4" square
Total time to complete: 42 minutes...I had a dickens of a time cutting the image down with Speedy the Cat on my lap!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, Faith! Love the way you use your Spellbinders to create those wonderful layers. Great ribbon and, of course, fabulous coloring on the little kittie.
