Well a sorority sister wanted to see the life of the people in NYC... she lived on some of her Dad's ranches and had never seen the life in the Big Apple... so I offered to take her home with me for the Easter Break... The day arrived an we got on the bus to go into the city... (I lived about an hours drive from NYC) We arrived in the city, and did all kinds of funny wild things... bought cigarette's with our name on them... in bright colors... bought funny hat's; all kinds of fun things that I would never buy, as I certainly didn't have the kind of money she was use to spending... that was for sure... Anyway, her Dad had told her to treat herself to something really special for her up coming birthday... so off to Tiffany's we went... She walked in and told the jeweler who she was... he I am sure checked it out... along with her line of credit... and then the buying began... she wanted a necklace of Black Pearls... long enough that she could tie a knot in them... and that it wouldn't be too short... wow... that is going to cost some pennies!!!! Anyway they brought out trays of these pearls... and each one she hand picked.. when she was all done, the jeweler asked if we would like some lunch... while they strung the pearls.. of course we said YES!!!! Champagne and all... we say there with our hats on, smoking these funny cigarettes and having the best time...
Anyway we knew it would take a while, so we ate slow and enjoyed the lunch at Tiffany's.... This might sound like a typical tale ... but this really happened in 1964 with a sorority sister of mine... and we had lunch at Tiffany's... LOL... black pearl necklace and all... a very EXPENSIVE necklace.. but she did like it... and wore it all the time...
Anyway... back to the tea party... we waited around until the rest of ya'll got there... and then we shared our brightly colored cigarette's with you... no oe really smoked them, as in the 60's it was fashionable to smoke... but today... not so good for the body... but it was fun.. We also had some of that wonderful champagne that they offer there... and Suzette was not too happy about that.. but all were having fun and what a tea party it was...
Hope you like my hat!!! It was almost like this one with the pink rose... my wilder days!!!!
Have a wonderful day... and enjoy what you are doing... Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

Okay, who's the wise-guy that put that teapot on Audrey's head? And I don't care if they did it cuz they were trying to cover up her bee hive dooooo!!
Musta been you Bonnie! You wild woman you! Smoking cigarettes, drinking *tea* with your roomie back in the day and spending big bucks all in one outing!! When I was reading your commentary, in the back of my mind I was thinking, I betcha this is a REAL story....and then....yep....it is! Whoot!
What a great card! This is really fun....have you kept in touch with your roomie, cuz it would be a kick to send her this card along with your story .....wouldn't it! This card absolutely rocks! The table cloth is to die for and the colors and embellishments are so classy, just like Audrey, without a teapot on her head! Beautifully done......

The sweetest little teapot partiers I've ever seen Bonnie. I just love the girly feel in this card. Yeah, that table cloth is gorgeous. Well, you just had me drewling talking about all the fun you had as a young lady. WOW! Thanks for sharing that, must have been THE day!
Now, better get those little sweethearts out of the Tiffany caf before our little "diamond theft" starts. Don't want any kids around for that. I do have my limits. LOL
