This is for FS154! Congratulations to Anne, jdmommy for being our featured artist today. I was inspired by Anne's Red and Gray Highschool Days LSC229 RED and Gray High School Days by jdmommy at Splitcoaststampers and her old Chevy. Since Anne's dad would be horrified to see her using a Chevy instead of a Ford I chose to honor her with a 64ish Ford Mustang Fastback. Is anyone, other than me, old enough to remember car hops? I have to admit I never saw any on roller skates. I grew up with a drive in called Smiley's and all the kids were there on Friday and Saturday nights. If you are old enough to remember car hops then you are also old enough to remember the TV show Route 66. I loved combining all these images together to create my project. I kept Anne's red and gray color combination and added some yellow for the diner sign and window lights. I totally changed the layout but I thought the "Happy Days" memories would carry the inspiration theme.

Kittie, hate to admit it but I do remember car hops and drive ins. We had one called the Scotchmens. We would sit in our "hot rod's, after cruising through the place a couple of times first, watching all the others cruise through too. There were some mighty fine cars at that place. What fun memories! Love your diner scene here. I love diners. What a great card today! TFS and for the memories too. Wonderful CASE of Anne's :0)

Oh Kittie, thanks for the RED Mustang...I had a Mustang once upon a time (later than the Ford convertible), and the trip down memory lane. I used to go to Adventure Car Hop in Saugus (Hi Julia!) MA, where there were Car Hops on Skates, I think! I remember a scratch on the side of my car made by the tray being attached to the window!! I LOVE all the RED.. thanks for that... and for casing my card. Adding the diner was a wonderful and fun touch! You do me great honor playing today!! Hugs, my friend!
