Poster: stampztoomuch

This is a project done with on of the new Provo Craft embossing folders--for the latest challenge Cuttlebug Challenge Blog. (I love paint! Do you?)

There's a full pictorial on my blog here: http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2010/0...-tutorial.html (and a link to the challenge too.) :o)

It's a technique that gives you crazy ceramic texture, by:

A) Embossing a piece of 100lb Bristol paper in a Cuttlebug folder
B) Colouring it with Copic markers (or another method)
C) Applying paint to a cardstock scrap; swiping it over the colouring
D) Filling in any missed areas with paint on a brush
E) Sanding the white paint off the coloured areas & cleaning the dust off
F) Adding a wash (coloured ink & water) to the background
G) Heat embossing (in clear) over the image for shine
H) Adding more paint wash to the background

I also added embroidery thread tassels. Matted it on a piece of beaded patterned paper & stuck it on a box.

Supplies: # Strong White cardstock (I used Strathmore Bristol Vellum 100 pound--holds up nicely to the messing around.)
# An embossing folder--this is one of new Provo Craft Asian line called "Lanterns" It's an A2 Emboss size folder. You can see all the folders here on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog.
# Copic markers (or another colour method, but please consider testing some with your paint to be sure it doesn't smudge too much on you.) ;O)
# White acrylic paint, scraps of cardstock to spread it, paint brush
# 150 grit sand paper & a dust cloth
# Distress inks (Peeled Paint & Antique Linen) & water
# Versamarker, Clear embossing powder, Heat gun
# Paper piercer, needle, embroidery thread, seed beads

Thanks for looking!
:o)
