Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
I LOVE this sketch, and when I saw it, I thought about these blackberries. I love blackberries. When we were kids, my family used to go camping at Lake Renova in Virginia. We'd go out on Fridays and stay until Sunday afternoon. For breakfast, Hope and I'd go out into the campground with a pan and pick wild blackberries! YUM! They grew all over in little bushes that were full of thorns. We'd come back a mess of scratches and blackberry juice! Oh...I miss those fun summer mornings with my sister. Geez...why did we grow up???
The image and sentiment were stamped in Noir and colored with Copic Markers. The background was sponged in with Sun Flower and Raw Sienna. I had to add the extra sentiment oval because the sentiment didn't fit on the focal image's oval.
Finished size: 4 3/4" x 6"
Total Time to complete: 33 minutes.

Eye-popping gorgeous, Faith! The yellow sponging really sets everything off so nicely, and I love the beautiful purples and papers. TFS such a sweet memory, too; sometimes it would be nice to go back to our childhood, wouldn't it?

Fabulous coloring job on this Faith. Lovin' those blackberries! We picked 'em too and my mom made blackberry 'rolly polly' - a pie crust with the berries in the middle and the dough folded up over and sprinkled with sugar, baked and cover the warm pastry with milk - yum!!! Now, mom, dad and my bro are all gone - yea, why did we grow up????
The nicest place to be is in someone's thoughts, the safest place to be is in someone's prayers, and the very best place to be is...
in the hands of God.

DH and I still pick blackberries when we are in the Pacific Northwest. Some years we pick gallons - eat them fresh or can quarts and quarts of them.
What a luscious card - scrumptious colors. I really like the striped dp.
