For Teapot Tuesday: Annie Mae Appleseed has just gotten a huge, multimillion dollar, multi-year contract to pick apples in New Hampshire, because she can pick an astounding 42,000 apples per HOUR!. Needless to say, there are jealous folks who have been trying to sabotage Annie Mae, pulling her ladder out from under her.
As a former business journalist, I'm always intrigued by numbers that just seem out of line. Like 42,000 apples an hour. I've never picked apples, but that seems like a lot. I did a little snooping around and found out Annie Mae has a little help, in the form of monkeys she has imported and trained to pick apples. She seems to treat them well, and they get the job done, so there's really nothing wrong with what Annie's doing, I guess, but she did want to keep it a secret so she could hold the world's record for apple picking. Hope I'm still welcome at the tea party after revealing the secret -- I'd love a piece of homemade apple pie.

Bwahaa! Apple pickin' monkeys! Now that's whut I'm talkin' bout! Whew! Good thing you discovered the truth as I would hate to have you questioning my numbers.....The thought of being audited is enough to put me on my fanny! Giggle!
What a fun and creative card and idear! Its precious and how cool that you can even send it to someone without explaining your madness! Snort!
Happy Belated Birthday girlfriend! I hope it was the best yet!

This would definitely explain those numbers - monkeys are fast and very coordinated in trees. This is super cute, hope those monkey's don't get your piece of pie!
