This is double challenge card. It's for this Monday's mojo sketch and also doubles as the colour challenge of black, gray and turquoise over at the Verve Release Challenge.
I decided to try one of Dawn McVey's "paper flowers and since I didn't have a book I was willing to sacrifice I opted to use tissue paper instead because the colour matched the challenge LOL! You can find her tutorial here. Rest is pretty self explanatory. Bonus is after I took the picture I realized the way the swirls matched up they could actually be a stem for the flower!
Accessories: SU Scalloped Border Punch, Birds and Swirls EF, SU Scallaoped Circle Punch , Corner Rounder, 5/8" white stain ribbon, tissue paper, button, 1/4' white satin ribbon, glue dot, dimensionals

BEAUTIFULLY done Marisa. LOVE the verse and the papers/colors you chose are just so comforting. LOVE the paper flower - way to go Marisa. I'm not brave enough to try that yet!! I just adore this card. Marisa, you're cards have been on fire lately. Your mojo is in full gear!! TFS!

Awesome flower, Marisa! You couldn't have planned the 'stem' any better if you tried! :-) They say turquoise is THE color for 2010...it's so striking on cards...especially with white or black.

Gojus! Love it... Great idea to use tissue for the flower - I have that tutorial bookmarked to try. Great job on the double-challenge. Love the embossed background - beautifully done!
