I don't think mine is nearly as NICE as the others uploaded here, but I tried??!! It only took me ALL day to make...hahahaha...(good thing I'm not doing any video tutorials eh??)
Didn't have ribbon to match wallet, so used white grossgrain and dyed it, and didn't have any cute brads, etc. to use for buckles so I used Pop (or beer can tops for them. Hey, you can't say I didn't improvise with what I had.
Fun to make tho...don't laugh too hard (please)..only "I" am allowed to do so!!! LOL
Take care....

When I get around to trying this technique, I had already planned to use the pop tabs as well. You could always use embossing powder on them to make them shine.
Thanks ALL for your kind comments. Not the BEST picture, the colors blend, or look better ? in real life. Never thought about embossing the soda/beer tabs, other than I could have painted them black maybe ?? to go along with black button closure. Thought they added a little something different to the look "as is" I guess.

Oh my goodness, this is too cute, especially with your improvising! I don't think you're giving yourseld enough credit, it is genious! I just ordered this cuttlebug folder tonight and can't wait to try this project, and in my small town there are surely NO BUCKLES! What a great idea! You did great!

I think you did such a great job on this wallet! The color is gorgeous, and I have to tell you I truly admire your creativity!! I never would have noticed those weren`t buckles... Totally awesome!
Aaawww..geeze..THANKS everyone...I am SO excited to see that I got some comments about my wallet. Was afraid to post a picture, and my camera skills aren't too good...but SO kind of you.
Gonna try another one (this weekend) and hopefully this time, it won't take me ALL day to make...hahaha
