They have wonderful sketches every week and lots of chances to win prizes.
I have to say, Priscilla, I really did LOVE this sketch. The diagonol ribbons at the bottom got me for a bit, but I figured out how to do it!
I used some beautiful paper I've been dying to get my hands into that Stamp Muse sent me for my birthday ~ thanks M! ~ She also sent me the beautiful matching brad. I have to tell you M, you made this card work my friend.
I have been struggling with coloring, but found that outlining the darker areas with a SU marker and then blending it with a blender pen seems to work pretty well. That way, you can coordinate all their colors. I tried watercolor crayons, chalks, the ink pads, watercolor brushes, etc. But, I have to say, using watercolor pencils and markers with a blender pen seem to work best for me. Unfortunately, SU doesn't make the watercolor pencils in all their colors, so I can't use them most of the time.
Okay, back to my card. I stamped the flower with Stazon black, then colored in the flower, leaves and stems. I popped up the flower portions on dimensionals and added glitter around the darker portions of the flowers. I used my rectangular nesties for the image and sponged around the flower with certainly celery. Last, but not least, I paper pierced around the image panel.
I also paper pierced around the second patterned panel and popped up the first panel, 2nd set of panels and image panels on dimensionals.
I used some pretty lacy silk ribbon and wrapped it around 3 x diagonally, per the sketch, and adhered the matching brad in the middle. The sketch called for it to be on the side, but it just really worked in the middle, so I kept it there.
I kept looking and looking to add more, but I felt like to add more would have taken away from the beautiful paper, flower, ribbon and brad which I think can stand on their own.
Thanks SO MUCH for taking the time to look and if you have a chance, let me know what you think!

Beautiful card Fruitflake...love the shades of blue. That truly is yummy paper and it does make for a fabulous card when you have such a pretty focal image. Well done! I do love this sketch too - the diagonal ribbon is a nice effect. I see you forgot to put thread in your sewing machine again though...

Fruitcake, there's something magical about that green sponging. It's fabulous against all this blue. Pretty, pretty card sitting amongst all your lost marble, I might add.

Hi Pam...You have created a stunning card here. The color and dp is over the top gorgeous. Now is this faux paper piercing or the real thing-we may have another controversy started here as Benzi had faux stitching which really look like real stitching!!! To stitch or not to stitch-that is the real question...LOL Just sensational...a great piece of eye candy. Thanks for giving the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge a whirl. Wishing you a Very Happy Creative New Year!

Wowzer, Pam, this is absolutely beautiful and I love your blues. The ribbon looks perfect for the MMSC sketch and is that brad sent from M ever beautiful. I guess the piercing will have to do until the stitches come. LOL Seriously, I LOVE your piercing...always is perfect. I'm just glad you didn't try to copy my snowman this week just to get back at me for getting your valentine card last week.

Oh, Pammalina, I see Carol/Gingerbeary is on to your faux piercing. I knew it looked too perfect. Is that just adhesive stitches?????????????? I'm very sad to have found this may be the case. :( Just kidding!!!...maybe
