Today we were to make a card for someone we love. Well I happen to love my DH and he loves pottery. You know like Acoma and Laguna pots. He has quite a selection going on. Awhile back I made him a card with some other pottery on it and he just loved it. I hope he loves this one too!......details....
Getting to use some more stamps from Rubbernecker today. Since yesterday's scene was outside, today I am staying inside. I covered my wall with a panel of cs that I stamped the bg stripes with black, clear ep then sponged with red pepper. Set aside. Left the other wall white, which was way hard for me to do.
Stamped my southwest pottery with black, clear ep then colored a few of the parts with copics.
For the floor, I drew the lines for the tile, scored them, sponged with versa mark pad and clear ep. Looks like a shiny white tile floor IRL. Added the black baseboard to the walls.
Popped up my pottery. On scrap cs, I drew two circles then stamped a Mutnik triangle stamp on them, added dots, sponged color, versa marked, clear ep and cut out. Did this three times. I was trying to make some hearts. The circles would count as dots, but to be safe I added some tiny dots to the circles. Don't want the challenge police to get me. (dots were a requirement today)
Popped my funny hearts on the white wall.
Put a fancy crocheted pink flower with a red button center over one of the pots. Just made this the other night. So glad I got to use it.
Well, hope you like my inside scene today....TFL :0)

Beautiful card! I love your colors and design. It looks just like the corner of a room! Doesn't it feel great when you can design a card around a theme the recipient loves and appreciates the fact that you did it just for them?

I think dh should love this! I appreciate hearing the details on the way you created this scene. These are so hard for me, so I love hearing exactly how you did it. Things like scoring and clear embossing the floor so that it looks more like tile- brilliant, I tell ya!
