Did you know that the phrase, "DO NOT BE AFRAID," is mentioned 365 times in the Bible? I don't think that it's coincidental that there's that many days in our year either. Daily, God tells us DO NOT BE AFRAID.
God is Sovereign. We hear that statement often, but have you ever stepped back to take a look at what that means? Sovereign means King, Lord, Master over everything, in control, independent; or to boil it all down it means Supreme Authority. Sovereign is just one of the many names that God is called in the Bible, which also happens to be the topic of today's Bible Verse Thursday challenge at Christian Paper Crafts. I used the MOJO120 sketch as my layout for my card. As this took a little while to put together because nothing went right today (I'm writing this on Monday, January 4), I thought a lot about God's supreme authority over everything and because he has that authority, we don't have to be afraid. There's literally hundreds of verses in the Bible that assure us of God's love for us, yet still we don't trust in them. We say we do, but ultimately, we have to be in control. I know that as I grow older and mature as a Christian, it does get easier for me to just give whatever I need to the Lord. I've fought it enough times in my life with disastrous results. We need to believe that HE IS SOVEREIGN.
Let's seen what you can do with this challenge. When uploading your card to the Christian Paper Crafts Gallery, please use keyword BVT36, and when uploading to your blog or other online galleries, please use keyword CPC-BVT-36. We sure do hope that you play along as we'd love to see your work!
Additional details and close-ups of this card will be on my blog at Cindy Coutts Thursday morning. Have a blessed evening and stay warm! For those of you expecting snow storms, such as myself, be safe.

Wow Cindy I am impressed. God is so wonderful, and you elloquently displayed your love and trust for our Lord, that is awesome! I will have to find a way to bookmark your site, maybe I will play along. Does it have to be with their stamps or can I use what I have?
Oh, and I'm glad to back too, without stamping for a week, I was going nuts!
