The TSC this week was to NOT use, dies or punches but to use torn paper. I gave this some thought and decided to turn to my favorite technique and one I learned from Michelle Zindorf; sponging and using torn post-it-notes as masks. The photo doesn't do this scene justice. My photography skills suck so anytime I have the least bit of white in the design, it comes out looking stark! I tore and masked off the bottom part of Winter White CS. First stamped the florish with Versa Mark ink and clear embossed. Stamped the snow flakes from Stampin Up's Trees Three the same way and embossed. Sponged over that with blue and added a bit more at the torn edge of the post-it-note. Moved the post-it-note down and over a bit and sponged more blue lightly at that edge to create a second snow drift. Replaced the torn post-it-note to its original position and stamped Stampabilities' windmill using Basic Black ink which I should have done first but ....... well, you know how it is. Removed the mask. Added some bling stickers which is harder than you would think but I got a great tip from the stamp store I purchased them; said to use the tip of a Buckle Dude tool (Exacto Knife) and stab the sticker then place it where you want it. Drew some squiggley stuff around the border. Stamped the sentiment, mounted the image panel onto a red CS panel and tied on red ribbon.
