Hello everyone! Today we were invited to a cookie walk at the Tuesday Teapot Party. Does that not sound like a lot of fun or what! ..........details......
As you can see in the window, my plate is full and I am heading off to eat my cookies and sip a little peppermint tea. There are so many different cookies to chose from that my head is a spinning!
I brought one of my favorites, chocolate chip cookies. Don't need to print the recipe, it is on the back of the chocolate chip bag. I don't change a thing. hehe
I did put a little frosting between my cookies in case ole Bertie decides to start flinging cookies at the table! She has been known to fling things at past parties.
Briefly, I used two separate pieces of w/c paper. On the back one I drew my little scene-table, teapot, stacked plates of cookies, neon clock, etc......oh yeah, and part of me. (my best side. LOL) Colored with re-inkers.
On the front, I cut out the window panes, scored the panels for siding and stamped the pine silhouette and clear ep. I sponged on the rich razzleberry, and w/c the window frame with crushed curry.
On a white card I put on my two panels and another card was born. Hope you like my little "looking in the window" scene......TFL :0)
Hi Sis! What kind of cookies are you bringing?
P. S. I was inspired by this IC SushiPot Ornament last Saturday for my house color.

Now doesn't that look like fun!! I think you've captured the scene wonderfully. Those cookies all look yummy!
When I do the Cookie Walk at work I ask the staff for their recipes so I can make a little booklet and last year someone made chocolate chip cookies and sent me the recipe: "Follow the Directions on the Back of The Bag of Chips". Everyone cracked up when they read that! You just can't beat a good thing.
So glad you joined the Cookie Walk/Tea Party today!

Awww yes, peppermint tea will help that mountain of cookies go down. What a pretty picture taken of the whole action going on. You do have a fine hand for drawing Cathy! Lovely colours. I can't wait to try your cookies, mine were guzzled by Cindylou. Still the soup is very filling. Beautiful card. TFS Hello girly!

Oh, Mutnik Nutmeg Cathy (I always think of a cartoon strip when I write that and here you've created this homey and sweet scene; it makes me smile!) I can just smell all the pastries, cookies and candies. The siding and pine tree branches are so cool I wish I had your artistic talent, dear girl. This is fabulous!
Oh yeah, Bertie is on her way, and I fear she "borrowed" my Lumiere and paintbrush. Smart thinking to put the frosting between the cookies!

So many lovely details in this. Start with your wall - to me, that is just SO American. Houses here never have that boarding on them. And your lovely cosy interior with all those cookies and the tea. I am thinking that peppermint tea will definitely be a welcome digestive aid and soother.
Even I have the recipe from the bag of chocolate chips - and we don't get them over here. Well, recently we do, but you should see the size of the titchy little bags we get - not even half a cup in a bag. And they are not Ghirardelli or Hersheys either, some local brand... So they are one of the things my half-sis brings when she comes...along with Bakers Unsweetened, which is simply not available here at all, sniff...
