Have you ever pondered the deep mystery of what snowmen do at night while all of us humans are sleeping? Well, apparently Lisa (aka lisa lara) has. She is our supercalafragilisticexpealidocious Teapot Tuesday hostess today, and, man, does she have a darling teapot for our inspiration! Furthermore, she has created an exceptionally ADORABLE card of her own for this challenge and she drew her own image!!!! I envy her talent to draw her own images. Check out the challenge and Lisa's cute card in the challenge forum. I hope you'll consider playing along.
Earlier this week, Lisa posted a sneak peek picture of the inspiration teapot and that is what I worked from. I knew it had something to do with snowmen at night and I saw lots of my beloved purple color, so I drew upon those three things (snowmen, night, and purple) for my card today. And my alter ego, Bertie, also drew upon one more item for her inspiration: pink snowballs. Yep. Pink snowballs....you know....those yummy pink coconut, marshmallow- covered cupcake snowballs? Yep. Bertie and I got the most hilarious package in the mail yesterday from Lorraine (pidgesmom). It seems Lorraine wanted to continue the snowball fight that Bertie started at last week's Teapot Tuesday party, and she sent me a package of pink snowballs covered with a cute SPLAT! covering them (picture is on my blog). Thanks, Lorraine!
What? You wanna know where the pink snowballs are? Well, listen up, my friends....here's Bertie's story of what she thinks snowmen do at night and what happened to the pink snowballs Lorraine sent:
Hi, ya'll!!! I jes gots ta tell ya that I thinks snowmen wake up around midnight with all this purty purple glistening snow at their feet, as well as pink, glittery snowballs already preformed layin' about all over da place and they have this massive snowball fight until about 3:00 a.m.!! See this li'l guy here? He's warmin' up his pitchin' arm and has his 'amnition alls abouts him. He's comin' in the front door to the tea party at Santa's cottage and plans to blast a few of the tea partiers with these pink snowballs. Aw, shucks! Don't worry yer purty li'l heads off. Ain't no one gonna git hurt. These snowballs are soft, tasty and full of chocolate cake and creamy white centers! Ya see, snowmen....just afer midnight each night....go from house to house stealin' them thar pink snowball cake goodies and use them for their snowball fights! That's what happened to poor Charlene's snowball goodies that Lorraine sent her. One of them thar snowmen snuck into her house and stole 'em!! What? No, I ain't gained no weight over night. It's jes yer imag'nation.
Well, that's Bertie's story and what she thinks snowmen do at night and what happened to the scrumpdillyicious pink snowball cakes that Lorraine sent to me. I swear that girl is getting fatter every day!!!
Note: I drew the snowman's stick arms so he could warm up his pitchin' arm for the snowball fight. That's the extent of my drawing ability! :-) For my night sky, I ripped some post-it notes and used my sponge daubers to apply various shades of inks (my brayer doesn't like me, so I have to use sponge daubers). I can't remember the name of these tiny snowflakes, but I white embossed them.
Have a great day and watch out for Bertie! She's on the loose. Last I heard she was searchin' for Peggy...

Oh Charlene, I love this scene you created. Beautifully done. Looks like a snow storm. I love the dimension. Red snowballs........I bet there is a story there. Looks like a snowball fight to me. See you soon, I have a place for you next to Lorraine and I. Where is Bertie?

Me thinks Bertie is all talk! With little arms like these I don't think the snow balls will be going too far.
Your image is so cute and the daubers make the bkgrd. seem even colder

Well Bertie, you can look high and low for Miss Peggy, you won't find her anywhere, she's hiding behind Darla's snowmen (ahem...I mean snowpeople). I'm here though, Peggy's alter ego Maxie and I think you should stop trying to behave badly and give back those pink snowballs back to poor Charlene. After all, they were a gift from Lorraine you know.
You don't care...okay, well, let's catch them before they splat and split the loot between us. (wink)

How clever of Maxie for telling Bertie where I am...she's got the looks but not so clever mind you. LOL
Ah well, I just had to say that your posts brought tears to my eyes, laughing so much. I had to get out of my scraproom to settle down. You are too much Miss Bertie. Good thing Charlene has a good hand at sketching check out that "stick hand and arm" she drew. Applaud this effort now ladies. LOL
Love your card crazy gal! Thanks for sharing and help me get away from Bertie please. I just bought new boots.

Somehow I reckoned that this party might give Bertie official sanction for all her flinging and throwing. I see your snowman bowls over-arm - I think I go under-arm. Love your beautiful purple base, and those very subtle layers of colour on the image panel- like the mountains here at sunset. Well, not here in Dublin, but over in the west...

Oh yummilicious is your card! I too love those snowball cake thingies but I am trying to be very good and not eat things with sugar. Maybe I could whip up a batch with Splenda. Or I could just eat them because you know what they say. Its not what you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas that makes you fat. Its what you eat between Christmas and Thanksgiving. And then there are those of you who can eat any and everything and not gain an ounce! See what your pink snowballs did to me? I went off on a tangent here! But I do love your snowperson with the beautiful purple night sky. TFS!!
