Hi! This card was made for this week's Color Combination Challenge: Razzleberry(pink/purple), Artichoke, Banana.
I have a very large collection of Nutcrackers. Over 200, actually. I love them, and this is the first year in 25 years that I haven't gotten them out for the Holiday. Markie decided that this year, we are "scaling down" at our home. He is, finally, accepting that Mother is very ill, and that she couldn't decorate her home this year. So, we spend evenings decorating her home. It's quite fun watching Mother boss Dad and Markie around: "Put that in the corner," "Hang that from the ceiling fan!" "Hey, don't turn that on!" "Faith, get the vacuum cleaner!" LOL
After a marathon evening of setting up Mother's nutcracker display, I decided to use this image for today's challenge. The image was stamped in Burnt Umber and cut out. I used Copics to color. The branches were stamped in Landscape, Burnt Umber and Cognac. The Designer Paper, from 7 Gypsies, was stamped with Musical Score in Burnt Umber.

This is lovely, Faith! (And I appreciated your story, as we decorated my Mom's house this year ... she wasn't home so we didn't get the detailed instructions!). Amelia is in the Nutcracker for the 6th year in a row ... and she is a soldier this year, so this card really made me think of her!! LOVE the kneeling Nutcracker and the beautiful charm. VERY nice!
