Our hostess for this week's Teapot Tuesday is CarrollAnn and she provided us with the cutest little Santa teapot and a great story to go along with it. You can find all that here. Thanks for hostessing this week too!
My card could represent the worse present that I got (and you can read all about that on my blog) but it doesn't. It represents the best present that I got.
It all has to do with paying attention to the little things. The fact that my DH remembered from a conversation that I had with him describing a lunch date with a friend in which I mentioned finding Chocolate Neccos (my favorite flavor) by the roll in that deli and then finding a roll of said candy in my stocking that year, well, it just touched me.
He's very good at the big stuff, but sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impression - don't you think!
I punched the bears out of Close to Cocoa and highlighted the edges with White Craft to resemble the candy wafers.
Please visit my blog where you can read the whole story and see what I got in the mail too!

I would say your DH is a keeper and so is your card. The curved shape highlights the little bears so nicely. Hope you are sharing your goodies at the tea party.

Love that story. Yes, the little unexpected things are so important. I like koalas, but the sweatsuit sounds bad, LOL. Off to google these candies to see what they are.

Lorraine, you have a precious man right there! My DH loves the Chocolate Necco's too and I have a stash for his stocking already! Your card is a darling representation of that sweet memory. Thanks so much for sharing.

Omigosh! How stinkin' CUTE is this???? I love it, Lorraine! Those little bears are so sweet.
You gotta love a man who remembers the little things, and you obviously got a good one! I love sweet stories like these. Chocolate Neccos are my fave, too, and once in a while the guy at the vending stand at work carries them. Yum!
So, inquiring minds wanna know: didja ever take a pic of yerself wearin' that special sweatsuit? Hmmmm? Hee!
Ya might want to forewarn yer darlin' bears of an impending snowball fight I hear's a-comin' later on....
