This card started out being for Shirmcat's VSN challenge where we were to create a card inspired by one of the top 100 songs from 1999. I chose "Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz and used this stamp to make a birthday card for my FIL (he loves RC planes). I would have posted it for the challenge but I went over the time limit trying to decide on the size and placement of the squares and took longer than 45 minutes. The image is heat embossed with black EP and colored with Copic markers.
Thank you for the fun challenge Kelly and thank you for taking the time to look at my card.

Hi, Meredith!! This is terrific! I love your layout for this card and all your special touches. The brad as the propeller center is inspired! And I love how you used ribbon to make the towed banner with your sentiment. What a super fun card!! I'm sure your FIL will love it

Oh Meredith, I am glad I came back to check in! This is soooo cool! Love the little checked squares (hmmm, kinda reminds me of GINGHAM!) and the awesome planes! So cute how the one is carrying the ribbon banner! And your coloring and embossing soars...hee! Thanks so much for playing!
