I use the document boxes you can buy at Target to store my unmounted rubber stamps.
The 3 shelves on the left are the boxes, There are 124 boxes, 17 of them are empty for now
there is also 2 binders that hold my lg BG. stamps and SU wheels that I unmount. the 5 boxes with blue tops hold the clear stamps I own.
So in an area that is 3' x 4' I am storing over 6000 stamps.

Guess I should have added that these are mostly my single stamp images, unmounted Stampin Up sets and TAC sets.
All of my alphabets and individual word and sayings stamps are in CD cases, there are probably about 500-600 more stamps in them.

Actually all I did was take a page protector for a 3 ring binder, put a sheet of copy paper in it, then sewed it up the middle, from top to bottom, on my sewing machine.
this gives me 4 spaces to store 4 unmounted wheels

WOW!! You have used your space so wisely and efficiently.
How did you unmount your wood mounted rubber stamps? They take up so much space, I am thinking of doing this, but am afraid I will ruin them. Any suggestions?

I unmount mine right down to the bare rubber, I don't use the cushion. So If you wanted to keep the cushion on I don't know what to tell you. If you want to go down to the bare rubber, it will depend on the type of foam & glue the stamp company uses. The first thing I will try is popping the stamps in the freezer for a few minutes, about 5-10 minutes, then kind of pick at an edge to see if the rubber is going to pull away from the foam, I have found this works with most all of the SU stamps. and about half of the other companies stamps, if that doesn't work then I usually use goo gone, and play around til I get all the foam and glue off.
Regarding the stamps that you have stored in the docment boxes from target, did you re-mount them with ez mount, or do you just have the plain rubber stored? If so, how do you stamp with them?

No I don't use ez-mount, just the bare rubber. I use scotch brand double sided sticky tape. I just put a piece of the tape onto my acrylic block then stick the stamp to the tape. When I am stamping I use a thin piece of fun foam under my paper or cardstock.
I just find doing it this way is easiest for me.
I also use a small piece of the tape to hold the stamps in the storage box

This is the best acrylic stamp storage I have come across. I would love to know more. What exactly are those boxes called and where are they located at Target. I gotta get me some ;)
