A couple of lovely ladies on the forums have asked me to post these cards with some directions on how to get a 'round' look to the Christmas baubles. (Do you call them that in the US or is that just a English term - maybe I should say Christmas Ornaments! )
Anyway, I did not come up with this design, I have seen loads of examples, but this is how I worked out how to do it:
First punch a 1 3/4" circle in a piece of scrap cardstock, giving yourself a big border all around. This will be your mask. Now place this on your cardstock and using a dauber, gently apply ink starting at the edge of the circle and working in to the middle. Leave some of the centre un-inked and build the color more heavily at the edge. This gives you the rounded effect.
Next stamp your image - I used the snowflake from Season of Joy - randomly over the bauble.
Remove the mask and your bauble is done! You can either do this direct to a mat, or punch out the finished bauble and raise it with dimensionals on the card.
Happy bauble, (or Christmas ornament LOL) making!
