MMSC26 Portrait of Circles and Stripes

This is my first card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge:

it is rather daunting for me as I have only been stamping for a couple of months, but after some encouragement by some of the MMSC Design Team and a BIG push by my daughter, Linda (aka Lovely Linda) I have played along this week.

The embossed scalloped circle has been attached to the stamped background with a metal circlular brad and crimson pearl centre, and layered into green cardstock, pewter buttons have been added to two corners. Design is 'popped up' onto crimson embossed DP. with half circle of embossed DP on the negative side, with white embossed wedge on the positive side. Trim is shaded scalloped green borders, with crimson ribbon, and feature ribbon on top. All edges and borders are shaded in Pinecone ink.

There you have my first effort, I am hoping you all like it - I am not too sure and would love to hear what you think! I do thank you for your comments and all of the encouragement you have given me so far - you make my day!!

Hello SuperNan - this is just lovely! I am so proud of you for playing along!! I love all of the texture in your card, I can see you are loving your Cuttlebug!! The embossed circle is perfect as the centrepiece - well done!! Love the colours too and those gorgeous buttons - well played Mum - you ROCK!! I can't even imagine what you have in store for us when you become a seasoned card maker. For a beginner, and even for anyone, this card is gorgeous! We are thrilled that you decided to play with us at the MMSC. Your dry embossing is just beautiful! I hope you will keep playing with us each week.

First I want to welcome you to our challenge Lesley, we are so happy your daughter convinced you to do our challenge. I am in awe of your wonderful display of creativity for a relative beginner. You have wonderful creative talent....in a year you will blow us all away..LOL An exquisite card in detail, color, and embellishments. Thanks so much for playing along with us. We do appreciate it. I think you should try out for the Guest Design Diva spot....wouldn't that be great for a Mother/Daughter combo...especially a Mother's Day type of thing.

Welcome to the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge...so glad you decided to play along with us this week. Wow, now we know where your daughter gets her talent for sure. This is such a stunning creation! Lovely colors and all those textures really make this card so detailed. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.....well done!

What a beautiful design!!! You did a great job with the MMSC! And big huge congrats on being named an MMSC Remarkable on your first challenge! I know Linda is beaming ear to ear and well she should be... you are so very talented!!! Love the colors, texture, image... total package= fabulous!!!
