Well, fly he doesn't!!
I created Pip for the Pyjama Squid IC challenge a few weeks ago. When I couldn't find a large chipboard bird I could have sworn I only saw last night, Pip said that even if he couldn't fly, he does have wings. And he's pretty bionic - did you know that penguins can swim at speeds of up to 6 mph, which is Olympic speeds. And they can dive a third of a mile deep and not get the bends! That's got to be good for flying high up where the air is thin, too, I am sure.
The background was a TLC a while back - wrapping tin foil around some thin card before embossing it. Then I added some little Queen & Co Sassy Sequins. The foreground is Bazzill Bling, embossed with swirls and torn. Pip's little tree is from Merry and Bright, coloured with a marker and lots of tiny bling added - the pot is a punch.
Pip is an oval Nestability cut once in black and once in white, with a round one for his head, and a large oval punch for his wing. The wing is sculpted a bit - I use a large-headed thing sold for shaping sugar paste flowers. Beak and feet were cut from a scrap, and his eye is a big black pearl.
I should have waited till tomorrow for a daylight photo, but Pip wanted to bring along all those silver fish that he'd caught for Bertie .
(I'll get a better photo tomorrow).
This is just slightly bigger than A2.

What does a squid in pajamas look like? Just curious! Snort! Pip's da man! Anyone that can just plain ole swim to me is my hero and not gettin' bent? Doesn't get any better than that! What an adorable young fellah! I love your shiny background and colorful little details!
Darn it! Better kick those fish back in the water before Bertie gets here, not only are they turning blue but when she gets here they will be flung sky high and could end up up your penquins nose. Might be kinda hard to go the depths without bending then!
I know you would be back....both of your cards rock!

You know what, Sabrina? You RULE! Penguins RULE! Penguins are COOL! You are COOL! Pip is COOL for bringing Bertie fresh fish to fling! I love how you created this adorable guy. That little Christmas tree in the clay pot is so sweet, too. This is going into my faves so I can case Pip.

Wow - this is really cool - love that tin! Bionic penguins - do they cost more than the $6 million man? Or what that $10 million - it was a long time ago.... This is a really fun card!
