I loved the look of Beate's purple card on Thursday, so when I saw her Weekend Sketch was very similar, I wanted to give it a go. I thought those long thin strips reminded me of thin taper candles, so although this daisy and ladybird candle from the IC yesterday is a different shape, I took my inspiration from it.
Card fits a business size envelope. I doodled all round the edges with an olive green marker. The flower and *candles* are both Doodle This, stamped and coloured with distress inks. I stamped the tall strips after cutting, and then coloured with ink and an aquapainter. Sponged the blue centres of the flower, and added an extra yellow centre. The base is stuck to the card, but there's some foam tape just around the bases of the petals, so they curve up a bit. Added the little wooden ladybird, and that was it.
