A coworker asked me to make a card for her organist at church who is retiring after 50 years.
I started by finding an image of Amazing Grace sheet music online, downloading it, and changing it to sepia in Picasa (I also faded it a bit). I printed it out on Gina K cream cardstock, cut it out, and inked the edges with Colorbox Creamy Brown Chalk Ink.
I stamped Upsy Daisy & the PTI sentiment in Memento Rhubarb. The patterned paper is from Fancy Pant's All Fall pack, as is the orange mat. The card base is PTI Scarlet Jewel, and I added the scarlet jewel bow (which is not tied, but three pieces (the loops, the center piece, and the tails) popdotted together-a wonderful trick I learned on a blog recently). I also sewed a creamy brown thread around the patterned paper, but it's a bit too subtle to see.
(Somebody was asking for a game of fetch in the background, and I just couldn't edit her out!)
