This was created for the VSN challenge this weekend! With a really sick little boy, I really only had time to make one card so here is my submission to my first VSN challenge. What fun! First, it is a one layer card, using masking & reverse masking. I placed a big square down to block out the area for the nine patch and sponged and stamped Kiwi Kiss all around the edge. In the white space, I then stamped the socks from Laundry Notes and masked the image so I could use a hole from the 1 1/4" square punch in card stock to make the nine patch quilt, also featured this week in the Ways to Use challenge. I chose the Christmasy colors and socks, kind of hung at the mantle for my image - but the words it says on the inside are "Darn It! I forgot your birthday." I sewed the card and created a "hole" in the toe with Basic Black and some loose threads. Thanks for looking!

Oh now this is just too clever! I love a card with a good pun!!! And the masking looks just fabulous! And the little hole with real thread? Oh, just too cute for words!
Thanks so much for playing in my challenge and so glad you decided to take the leap into your first VSN!

Wow! Very cool card. I love the Christmas colors with the stockings. I'm so glad you gave a nice description, too, because I almost missed the darned little hole!
I agree with Meg: puns are fun!
