Made for today's CAS sympathy card challenge. This is a first for me, I've never made a sympathy card before. They are the only cards I've bought since starting to make cards a few years ago. I just feel funny about making them. In fact, I didn't think I owned a sympathy sentimemt but I found one in a PTI set.
As I've not made a sympathy card before I needed all the help I could get! So I took my colour scheme from the patterned paper and used the FTL64 Fall to Layout from the Clean and Simple stamping blog. http://cleanandsimplestamping.blogsp...10/ftl-64.html
I hope I got the balance right on the colours. The patterned paper has a touch of turquoise and I wanted to use some - but not too much. I didn't want to make anything too jaunty for a sympathy card.
My flower is from the PTI Beautiful Blooms set which co-ordinates with a flower Cuttlebug die. I punched a turquoise circle for the flower centre and the flower is popped up. The sentiment was cut out with a Spellbinders Labels Trio die.
I'm not going to tempt fate by keeping this in my stash - I hope I'll never need a sympathy card - so this will go in my cards to be donated box.
