Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! I don't often get the chance to play the FS challenge but today my hubby is away and I had no other obligations so play I did!
I was so thrilled to find that my irl friend and fellow ODBD DT member, Chris (Glowbug) was today's Featured Stamper! Her cards are amazing and I spent all afternoon trying to re-create one! She uses tons of layers, lots of stitching, many embellishments and more and more and more!!! With Chris... more is definitely more and I have long been an admirer of her work! With that said... my case of this gorgeous card Elegantly Clipped- Supplying all our Needs by glowbug at Splitcoaststampers is so sorry by comparison!
I used her basic layout but only stitched one layer. I did get to try out my new sewing machine for the first time and I can't wait to play with all it's fancy stitches, but I didn't feel like they were showing up that well so I only did the one layer.
I changed the colors, DP, Set used, and the punch I used but basically its pretty much her exact layout. I did omit the paper clip with pearls.
My sentiment is from this month's release by Our Daily Bread designs, Praying for You. I embossed it in Gold. I used Spell Binders Flourishes, Lattice Pendant and Ribbon Trio #2. I used EK Sucess to punch my border.
My CS is a base of So Saffron sponged with THoltz Fired Brick, then Cameo Coral, also sponged with FB, then a layer of Bo Bunny Dp and finally a layer of BasicGrey Indian Summer.
My flower is by Prima... Chelsea Rose, also from ODBD store. I sponged my gold satin ribbon with Fired Brick and tied with gold cord.
Congratulations Chris!!! This honor is so due you!!! Enjoy your day my friend!!!
