AKBride (Hey, Teresa!) and I spent a glorious weekend at Astoria, Oregon attending a Scrappin' Retreat with 18 other women. We had a blast and are already packing for the next one...whenever that is. LOL! This is one of the pages I completed.
A girlfriend is expecting a baby soon and is making a Baby's First Year Calendar. She's asked her girlfriends to each make a scrapbook page for it. Isn't that sweet? Here's my page for November. I used this great sketch for it. http://52sketches52weeks.com/?p=442
I started with an 11" by 11 1/2" piece of Very Vanilla cs and added some Autumn Traditions dsp, which was sponged with Soft Suede ink prior to glueing it to the vanilla cs. The next panel is more Autumn Traditions dsp with a piece of scalloped Ruby Red cs on the right. Onto this, I added my BABY sentiment that I did with my Big Shot, Soft Suede cs and the Timeless Type Junion Alphabet Medium Sizzlit Dies. (The letters are adhered with teeny, tiny pieces of Dimensionals.) I punched out six circles from more Autumn Traditions dsp with my 1 3/4" Circle Punch and adhered them to the page. The mat is a 5" by 7" piece of Ruby Red cs, which was embellished with various ribbons and the More Mustard and Always Artichoke photo corner punches. Oh yes, I also added More Mustard and Old Olive buttons and a 5/8" Very Vanilla Jumbo Brad at the bottom left corner.
