Today's Ways to Use it challenge was to step outside of your normal stamping style. It was a toss up whether to do sometime cute with animals or something collage and vintage. But when I did a mental review of my gallery, I realized that while I occassionally do cute animals, I've only once done a collage type piece. They always take me so long to do!!! And at the end I'm never quite sure if they work. I always feel like it needs something more or something less. Definately out of my comfort zone.
This card uses stamp images from many sources. I did cheat a bit and use a collage stamp as the base image. I stamped this is Chocolate Chip ink and tore the edges and then sponged on several colors of ink. I sprinkled gold EP over spots on the image and heat from the bottom to melt. All the other images were gold embossed and sponged and cut out. The background was done by wiping a Very Vanilla ink pad, a Chocolate Chip ink pad and a More Mustard ink pad over the Not Quite Navy CS. Then I overstamped sections of this with a retired SU Weathered stamp. I was trying to keep the card a bit more masculine, so I stayed away from lace and ribbon and threads all of thich I would have loved to add.
I'm really not sure. What do you think?

I don't think it's cheating at all to use a collage stamp for part of this, you've done so much of your own collage on it too. The background is amazing, and the gold ties all the elements in to each other so well.
