This is for today's Ways To Use It Challenge, hosted by Julia. She wants us to step out of our comfort zone and create something in a style we aren't used to, that will "stretch" us, artistically. Well, for me, I have always admired when people successfully use white on white and so I wanted to give it a try. I had to think of how to use those colorless layers in a way that was not boring! So I used my Scor Pal to make some scored lines as a sort of a frame around my main image panel, and with the punched holes, I looped some twine in and around for some extra pizzaz. This is a lot simpler a design than I'm used to, and I kind of like how it makes the main image stand out, with all that stark white! I just might do it again!
Thanks for the challenge, Julia, it was a good one!
I drew this illustration for Squigglefly, and colored it with my Copic markers.
