This is for the September DD/DDA challenge. Betty has challenged us to create a project using a favorite recipe and for us to tell a little background about it.
My recipe is one that I got out of the Cooking Light magazine years ago. It is simple and easy and something my mother-in-law would refer to as a peasant Italian dish since there is no meat. My husband and I love this and it is on our menu at least every other week. I usually cook it on Sunday to have for a quick meal on work nights. Truthfully I use more garlic than this recipe calls for as I have learned from Bob's family that more is sometimes great.
I didn't ahve any food stamps or at least that I can find so I sketched out my tomatoes, garlic and spinich leaves. Uh.........does anyone think the leaves look more like basil? I do!! All the images were watercolored with reinkers-Peeled Paint, Fired Brick, Dusty Concord and Going Gray. Recipe was done in word and printed on white cardstock. I thought olive was the perfect background for the recipe.
Challenge: Dirty Dinner Recipe paper project. Share at least one tried and true prepared entree recipe in decorative paper crafting format of choice.
Restricted Element: (No food images...just kidding...lol!!!) There are NO restrictions...bring on the calories, carbs, fat grams, and sugars!!!! We can alter it on our own if need be.
Required Element: It must be something you have cooked and your family LOVED it!!!! Also, share a little bit about the history of this recipe and how it came to be.
