I used the sketch and colors from CDS Guest Designer Challenge for September as a basis for this card. The original design was for a square card and had a horizontal line going through the middle of the card. I embossed the blue paper with a Feathers texture plate. The orange layer was created by stamping the bird design in rows on an acrylic block and then laying the paper on top of it to pick up the image. This allowed me to have my birds facing into the card as oppossed to out of it. The eggs and popped up bird were colored in with a light brown chalk and all my edges were distressed with milk chocolate ink. I finished it off with a raffia bow that mimics the material a bird would use to build a nest.
