I've been up for a few hours this morning due to my allergies. So I decided to make a couple of cards.
I hardly ever have time to create a card using the color challenges and today was perfect. We were to use "old olive, basic black, and eggplant. Or something similiar. This is an old sketch but I decided to use it again. I got the inspiration from "sleepyinseattle"Scary Movie by sleepyinseattle at Splitcoaststampers but I changed a few things. I started out by designing the film strip. I stamped the images onto white c/s using black ink. I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils, blending stumps, and mineral spirits. I then attached the black strips. The film strip is glued onto green c/s. I used the ribbon punch for the film strips. I added square brads to the corners. I used dp from Imaginisce for the background. I used the CB mini zig zag folders on the green panels and attached them to black c/s. I also added bat ribbon that I got from Michaels and tied the tag on that reads $1. I added the $1 symbol using the white gel pen. The "1" is a sticker I had in my scrapbooking letters bin, so I put it on the faux tag. I wanted something to read "movies" towards the top of the card, so I went to my husbands tool box, found the label maker, and made the sentiment. The film strip is held on with pop dot squares. I used SU Pastels chalk for the background behind the stamped images and added googlie eyes to the ghost. I also added some MS bats to finish. This was really a fun card to create. Thanks again for the challenge! Does this meet the color requirements? Have a great day!
