I'd like some honest feedback here. I was asked to do some Kwanzaa & Hanukkah cards to send overseas to men and women stationed there. I have no stamps that are really appropriate for these holidays, so I went with cupcakes (can anyone resist a good cupcake?)
I live in an areas that has only one Jewish family to my knowledge and probably less than 10% of our county population is of African American heritage.
However, I do not want to offend anyone so I'm wondering if these are appropriate?
I used free Clip art to do the saying, the CB background & scalloped Nestie are RAKS. I used Stickles to make the "Faux" colored sugar sprinkles on the frosting.
I used this Dirty Girl technique for my bow: karengiron's Embellished Bows

I don't know anyone that celebrates Kwanzaa, either; I would think fruit, corn or family scene would be good in that corner; I love the bow and the sign!

I wouldn't go with a cupcake (not that it's not a beautiful card! - it is!). For Kwanzaa, it's a harvest - I recently read up on Kwanzaa because I am designing cards too. http://www.history.com/topics/kwanzaa-history
For Hanukkah, (and kwanzaa) - why not use the candles from a set to make a menorah? Or just use a winter theme (snowman, flakes) or gifts or make a star of david using 2 triangles?
