What started out as a joke (would be 'too much') worked to my satisfaction (A spinner, no a shaker, why not BOTH!). The layout & composition are CASEd from a bridal shower card by aubrey27. I wanted to carry my son's wedding invitations' Swirling Hearts theme into the bridal shower card. The paper & colors come from their invitations & reply cards. This was challenging but fun.

"hidden" slot for spinner: the slot for the spinner is entirely behind the spinner in this photo. My personal preference was to minimize the visual appearance of the slot when it would be visible. On the top CS piece which you can see, I punched the ends of 2 pieces of ribbon with the word-slot punch... then the curved edge is glued down right at the edge of the spinner's slot... both ends got this treatment. For the piece of CS behind the slot: I stamped the same BG, same color, and aligned to the top CS's pattern; then glued a WIDE piece of same color ribbon over what would be showing thru the slot. To further minimize the slot visually, I edged the slot's cut edges with the Going Grey Write Marker.
