Today I am enjoying Jojot's gallery to the hilt. It's like I can't stop looking! I cased this card of Joanne's, keeping the over all layout but changed the direction of the card, using different colors and images:
This is an encouragement card for my friend Phyllis's mom, Herlinda, and is also my first go with Farm Life. I just love the peacefulness of this scene and thought she would enjoy it too, since she raised cattle.
The DP is cuttlebugged, using the woodgrain folder and is stitched onto the black base. The scene is watercolored, and Flower Soft applied to the tree and bushes. I used Liquid Applique for the clouds, and glued bits of straw on the fore ground.
Thanks for looking, and Joanne, thanks for the inspiration!

Wow! What beautiful coloring on the image...we just visited a farm today and my kids had a blast feeding Highland cattle (hairy cows - LOL)! Love the color combo you used too! I am sure your friend will love this card.

What a lovely scene! Almost makes me want to live on a farm . . . almost, too much work! And the little lace border there, so perfect for a cute little farmhouse tablecloth or curtains. Great FS card!

I love it--reminds me of my grandparents farm & red barn. Brilliant to use the liq. applique for clouds!

Do you KNOW how much I LOVE this?! Every little detail is perfect, Pat! The milk can charm is to die for! And the bits of straw! I love the puffy clouds, but most of all...your beautifully watercolored scene and that DP! Oh, and your gingham ribbon, how could I forget THAT?! Awesome, and straight into my faves!

It is a peaceful card - I love that stamp set! I see the trademark, three brads of Jojot on it and the Pat Smethers touch too (charms, cool borders, and super DP, scene with all types of little details). Great card, but then I think I have thought every card you have ever made is great so that isn't saying anything useful to you. I love it - no, that won't work either because I have loved every card you have ever made. Help!!!!!!!! I need some better adjectives and descriptive words!

Wowzers Pat, this is almost 3-D! I love your puffy clouds and straw with the bail of hay. What memories those bring to mind. Love your flower soft on the trees and bushes, way cool. Oh my Pat, Mom's gonna love this one. Not only the beauty of it but also the kindness behind it and most of all the prayers and support. Love you Pat, god blessed us both when we met on SCS.
