This card is for today's Teapot Tuesday challenge. My little bee was afraid his wing strength wouldn't get him all the way to California to meet up with the others, so he enlisted the help of this polka dotted balloon. I've told him that it is very important for a bee to work out regularly in order to have the necessary stamina for emergency situations such as these. He told me to buzz off as he floated away. The nerve of some bees. Oops-- did I forget to tell him that he should head south to Mississippi? I guess that's what he gets for talking back!
I used the out-of-the-box technique on the image (only I used a circle). I paper-pieced the bee's belly witht he same paper as the background. The center circle started out white, but I blinked once and this is what happened Seems to happen to me a lot when I get in a Copic zone...

Your bee is very clever to use a balloon to help him on his journey! I hope he doesn't tell MM to "buzz off"! I think she is bringing a tennis racket and might start swatting! Cute card! TFS!

HA you girls are funny both the artist and the commenter above me. I love the yellow and black that you carried through the entire card. Lovely bee, great idea to take along a balloon, its a long hot journey today. Have fun at the "virtual tea party" little bee.

What a creative mode of transportation. Just hope your bee doesn't land in a tea cup. It is hard to wring out a bee! Your bkgrd paper looks just like a bee hive.

I can't bee-lieve this is the first Stampendous bee who made it to the party - must be the extra oomph that the party balloon gave him. And I just love all that black and white ribbon .

Thanks for splainin'...my first thought was...wait a minute, I thought bees could fly! Snort! We might need to find your little quy a special corner in the beehive cuz a little squirt telling a big buzzin' bad boy bumble bee like some of the boys headed this way to buzz off is not such a good idear! Even *The Boys* might get a little irritated..I might have to assign on of the teapotter's bad boy bees to protect yours! Giggle!
Hold your ears....here comes a big ole bee butt first headed for the balloon.....oops, sorry...Well, at least you are here!
I love your card...its precious! What a fun image!

This is really cute. I love the yellow stripes and your out of box balloon. I have to give your little bee the credit when it comes to thinking outside the box when thinking about alternate forms of transportation.
