Nuts qualify for a food, don't they? My DH eats them everyday with a beer before diner. Must be food. Such a fun theme today. ......details............
I stamped my new Whipper Snapper image using versa mark ,chocolate chip and then clear eb it. All coloring was done with re-inkers with food in them. LOL
Not quite sure how peanuts grow, probably not in a tree. BUT if they did, I think this is what it might look like. So, I drew the tree and leaves and peanuts using a brown sharpie. In fact, this is my first card ever that I can remember, to not have any black on it. Hard to imagine. I sponged some tiny leaf like things using an art impressions stamp, then took a wet brush and blended them in.
Did a wash for the grass and sky. Stamped another heart and nose, clear ep them, cut them out and popped them up. Sponged edges of my scene. Put on a white card that I masked two lines then sponged with tangerine tango.
Well, hope you like my nutty card! TFL :0)
Hi Sis! Remember when dad would feed all the squirrels?...even named one Charlie!

P.S. Since you kinda asked....Peanuts grow in the ground. The Peanut is a member of the pea family. Oh, and it originated in South America....Guess who had to write a report on peanuts last year? LOL!

That is a great card!! I think I thought about squirrels and acorns, but it was a brief thought. Your hand drawn tree and peanuts are awesome. Your coloring is great, I especially love how you added some more of the leaves. I also like how you trimmed your card out with the tangerine.

*laughing my head off* I love your peanut tree! Wonderful drawing!!! But I am laughing 'cause I read Markie's Mom's comment (I didn't know either). I love your colouring, especially the white spots on the nose, cheeks, and heart!

Kathy, this is just the sweetest little squirrel I've ever seen. I don't trust them in real life, one went up a friend of ours legs to get his snack in his pocket and that just freaked me right out. Whenever I see a squirrel now, I run for dear life. Quite a site to see! LOL
But this one is sooo cute and when they play in trees in the backyard, I enjoy observing how concentrated they are on looking for food. Beautiful work! I truly love the peanut pile. TFS
