I had a little froggy all made, but when he heard that the teaparty ladies were coming to the lilly pads, he hid. He heard about some of the ladies talking about escargo that they had in France and he got mighty worried. He figured that if they were crazy enough to eat snails that he wasn't safe. He decided to hide under this lilly pad until the coast is clear. As long as these teaparties go he might resurface sometime next week.
I quilled the inside of the lilly with a fringed coil, and I cut out 13 petals that I glued around the coil. Sorry I am running late for the party it took forever for my glue to dry. The humidity here in Iowa is really high today. I took a 3 and 3/4 inch green circle and cut a v shape out of it. I also cut around the edges with a ragged, wavy cut. I stamped itty bitty backgrounds to give it texture and I outlined the edges with a marker. I got this fabulous dp from Peggy (Marilynprestonn) I love how it has water droplets. I had to use it for today's card.
Since Charlene's card got me hearing It's not easy beeing green over and over in my head. (Thanks Charlene) I tried to think of something green to bring as a treat. We tried veggies and lettuce or cabbage that one time and that didn't work so well. I thought some more, and I am torn between bringing keylime pie and mint chocolate chip icecream. So I guess I'll bring both. Just hop over to my lilly pad and I'll share!!

This absolutely delightful, MariLynn! I love the background DP from Peggy and the wonderfully crafted lily pad and lily flower! I think I'll stop by for a treat! It's a little lonely sitting over here on my own pad!

This is really stunning. How long can frogs stay under water? He needs to come out eventually and play with all the other froggies - like a play date and all.
I will have to keep Ginger away from here - this card is so peaceful and you know how she takes a nap at the drop of a hat and all.
Well done!

MariLynn, I think your waterlily is just beautiful, and so creative. What a beautiful serene setting for the teaparty. But I do hope your little frog comes out of hiding to mix and mingle with all the other frogs.

Only you would come up with this awesome lily pad flower. Betcha you were inspired by the pictures you took. What a timely photo opportunity! Your card is so fun Ms. McGyver...hve you noticed that since you started your blog I am spelling McGyver right? Hee!

Aahhhh, phooey! Tell your froggie to quit bein' a skeerdy cat and come out and play with the rest of us. There's too much goin' on today fer yer froggie to miss the fun. Can't he just hear Kermie beltin' out that tune? I know YOU can! ha! ha!
Speakin' of Peggy, where is she? Is she comin' to the tea party?
What a gorgeous lily you have created, MariLynn. I love the quilled center. Beautiful card! I used a toothpick to do my sun, but I'm wondering if the quilling tool would be easier to use. My arthritis makes some fine motor skills difficult, especially holding an itsy, bitsy li'l toothpick and trying to tightly wrap thin strips of cs around it.
Oh yeah, I'll have a slice of that yummy keylime pie, please! May I also have a cup of coffee to go with it? Cathleen's been fillin' my glass too many times with that slap-happy juice.

A shy frog. Obviously not a relation of Kermit. That is one beautiful water lily and pad. Very lifelike. And the bkgrd. sets off everything perfectly. Key lime pie is one of my very favorites. It will just take me one big hop to get to your pad.
