Didja hear? Didja hear the 'citin' news?!?! Kermit is coming to da Muddermark's tea party today! Word is that we'll be sippin' our tea on a soft, cushy lilypad while listenin' to Kermie sing his "It's Not Easy Bein' Green" song.
So, why not grab your stamps and creativity and join us at the tea party? Remember, we're floating on lily pads today, so you might want to wear an outfit that you don't mind if it gets wet. Sometimes the tea parties get a little rowdy (some of the guests---who shall remain nameless to protect their innocence---get a bit schnockered). I can just see some of the others trying to hop from lily pad to lily pad and dunking the guests.
My card also fits a few of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges posted on Splitcoaststampers and available to those who are fan club members. My card fulfills the following challenges:
1. Lauraly (tie one on using ribbon). I first used my SU spiral punch on the side of my cardstock so I could do a different kind of ribbon weave.
2. Kittie747 (make a scene). I think this one is obvious.
3. Becca Stamps (cut it out using punches, dies, etc.) I used my square Nestabilities (reverse framing), my spiral punch, and my Sizzix daisy die.
4. DeborahLynneS (taken with texture). I used googlie eyes and I quilled the sun. Note: This is my first time trying quilling, which also fits the SCS Technique challenge from yesterday to quill, so I did something simple with a sun.
5. debdeb (moved by the music). I love all kinds of music and have been known to break out into song at the slightest provocation...much to the chagrin of my friends since I can't carry a tune very well. Deb challenged us to use our favorite song or any piece in general that moves us. Like I indicated in my blog, the lyrics to this song have a terrific message.

What a fabulous and creative card, Charlene! You nailed every single one of the challenges! Never mind being the perfect scene for our lily pad tea party! That ribbon treatment is awesome and so are the daisy die cuts! Great idea to add the quilled sun! How fun our tea party is getting to be today! I'm going to reserve my lily pad now!

Can't believe you can quill on a lily pad! You rock girl! OMG! Is this a world record for you? What's that, six challenges in one? Look at all those key words...if I didn't know better, I would think that is frog language or sumthin! Well, maybe it's schockered frog language as with repeating the DTGD over and over again it sounds a little like stuttering! Snort!
Your card is absolutely precious! I love the lily pad flowers off to the side and the fun little lily pond scene! You rocked this challenge....but I just have to say...why are you trying to draw attention to yourself talkin' about some of the teapotters getting rowdy and schnockered?????? If I were you, I would lay low, you already are getting a Teapot Tuesday reputation since the day you were flinging sushi and laughing when it splatted!!

Hey Bertie, this is just wonderful! I like your extra row of lilies - more room for jumping around. And is that a hint of dawn on the horizon of the sky - or sunset with that orange sun?Could we really have partied all night?
That ribbon weave you did, I am going to remember that. It makes it look like a little book - my mother used to have a tiny little one with a mother-of-pearl cover, and your ribbons look just like the hinges.Or it could be one of this little books that ladies used to have at dances, to write down who was partnering them for which dance. With those wobbly eyes methinks this frog has already had enough to drink.

Well if that isn't the cutest little bug-eyed frog sitting there! What a wonderful little scene you've created. And all those challenges - WOW! The colors are wonderful and those flowers peaking off the edge of the frame - genius. Such a wonderful card!
