It's that time of year again! Fan Club Members get to play along with the Dirty Girls! For this particular challenge, Bonnie asked us to use wings in our creations. I decided to use a sweet, little black bird on my scrapbook page.
I found this awesome 12x12 sheet of metal with the hole already punched in it for the ribbon at Craft Warehouse. Isn't it cool?! I covered it with a full sheet of Rockabilly Specialty designer paper. I love 12x12 sheets with that scalloped edged. The next Kiwi Kiss striped layer is another sheet of Rockabilly paper.
I then stamped the Medallion image twice onto Whisper White cs - first with Riding Hood Red ink and again with Basic Black ink. The Riding Hood Red circle was punch out with my 1 3/4" Circle Punch. I added the felt flower and rhinestone and then added the circle to the black medallion with Dimensionals. It's layered on Basic Black cs and adhered to the Riding Hood Red panel. The NOTES panel is really cool because it ISN'T glued to the Riding Hood Red panel. That pretty pink felt flower is a MAGNET, so that's what's holding my NOTES panel in place. I'll be able to scribble notes and replace it when it gets full or if I ever decide to use a photo instead. Pretty cool, don't you think?!
For the third panel, I stamped the flower three times with Jet Black StazOn and colored it with Pink Pirouette ink and a Blender Pen. This senitment is stamped with Basic Black ink. I added Dazzling Diamonds to the flowers with my Two-Way Glue Pen. I added the Filigree and rhinestone brads, the sweet black bird and layered this on Riding Hood Red. It's adhered with a couple layers of Dimensionals. I then added my rubbed on sentiments, Jumbo Brad and button layers.
Oh, I was just giggling to myself when this was done. Thanks, Bonnie, for the idea to use a bird on this project. I think it's just what it needed!
