This is for the CAS15 Challenge where you are to use black, white and one other SU Bold Brights colour. I don't have SU cs, but have used my own pink cs as my bold colour. This card is way out of my comfort zone because I like lots of layers and textures, but I love clean and simple cards too and wanted to try and make one to stretch my creativity.
I made this card for my niece who is celebrating her 25th birthday and she adores cupcakes, and is a CASE of a card by SCS deborahmegan - One Layer Cupcakes by deborahmegan at Splitcoaststampers, except that I have made a few changes.
The cupcakes have been stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with my Prismas + Gamsol, and the icing sprinkles have been stamped with Ancient Page Azalea Dye ink after colouring. I added some Kindyglitz clear sparkle to the icing then adhered Kaisercraft pink self-adhesive gems. I drew a fine line with my Zig Platinum pigment ink pen around the cupcakes and cake stand to make them look a bit more 3-dimensional. The sentiment is from a clear stamp set by Wendy Irving Expressions J6412.02 and is popped up on 1mm mounts. The ovals were diecut with my Spellbinder Nestabilities Small Oval and Small Scalloped Oval. The b & w ribbon is by Cristina Re which I purchased in a scrapbooking kit from Target (Australia). Lastly I corner-punched the card.
The cupcake image is from a clear stamp set called 'What's up Cupcake' by My Favourite Things - www.mftstamps.com
Thanks for having a peek!
