My 1st card using my new "Scenic Season" stamp set and SU Wood Sheets. I was so pleased to see how thin the sheets were and that they cut easily with my big shot, Fiskar paper cutter and scissors. I was able to cut 3 Top Note Dies out of each sheet.
This card was an experiment. The Cropadile was perfect for the larger hole and jumbo Pewter Brad. I used Classic Inks for stamping and my stampamajig. I was doing great until I tried to add liquid glue from my Quickie Glue pen to the sentiment. That made the ink spread :-( The trees were fine because I had drawn snow with my Sakura white gel pen and then added the glue and Dazzling Diamonds. My next card I will do the same, but not add glitter to the sentiment. It might work if you use stazon, but I wanted to use Real Red and Always Artichoke. Live and Learn :-#
Hope you do not mind me sharing my boo boo card......again, the next one should be dandy!
Have a great weekend......TFL
P.S. Inkerzaway suggested I could have used a spray fixative on my sentiment before adding the wet glue. Sounds like a great idea. TFS
P.S., P.S......I tried the spray fixative/sealant, which you can get in any paint dept. It worked great. Thanks for all your suggestions :-)

LOVE IT!!!! I'm so glad you showed us those!! Now I need to order them. So the ink does not run if you simply stamp it? (did you use classic ink?) Patty

I think the card turned out great! But if you want to add something wet to anything stamped with classic ink, just use some spray sealer (workable fixative style, I guess?) over it and then it shouldn't run when you add the glue. Jan
Wonderful holiday card, Nancy! I love the look of the wood sheet--what a nice background for the snow covered trees! I think the sentiment looks fine! Great idea to get going on the Christmas cards early!

The wood looks very cool, Nancy! It's a beautiful card even with the slight boo boo, and I appreciate the heads up on that. This stamp set is definitely a must have!
I like this! I didn't realize that the first letters of the sentiment were mistakes until you mentioned it--still, it's good to know about the ink spread.

I think that if you used craft ink and heat set it you wouldn't have to use fixatif and the craft ink wouldn't run either.
Great card and wonderful use of the wood sheets!

I have only a few craft inks, but I think that might work. I did use a spray fixative/sealant on my other wood sheet cards before I stamped the images. It worked great.

Nancy~ this is the prettiest (manly, like 'pretty') in the gallery! I love what you have done, and think it is great that your card is the very first one entered for this new set. You deserve top billing! I love the wood panel, and wonderfully sparkling trees! You made a classic Christmas card. Love the ruby rhinestone too. Every inch of your card is jaw-dropping beautiful! Thanks for sharing your work. Now I'm gonna go see what else is ion your gallery! Wow!
