I love a lot of Native American art. This stamp reminds me of the pictographs (rock art) you see, especially in the Southwest. I used a stippled background to create a "spotlight" effect. I wanted the emphasis to be on the simplicity of the image.

Since two of you have asked--use a stipple or stencil brush. Using a DRY brush, tap the brush directly onto your ink pad. Then LIGHTLY and quickly tap the brush directly onto the paper. Don't stroke--tap. Start with lighter colors first, then layer with progressively darker colors. That's it. Really simple.
