Happy Monday everyone... I managed to combine today's technique challenge - faux grid and today's CAS - inspiration challenge.
Here is the artwork that inspired me.
Martha's Quilt II - on stretched canvas http://www.art.com/products/p1294689...chstring=quilt
I made the grid on whisper white (4"x4" - 1" squares) , stamped on leaf images in stazon jet black. Coloured leafs with markers. Coloured in the background squares. Over stamped panel with sanded backgrounder using ruby red ink. Sponged edges. Matted with black and more mustard. Added the leaf brad.
Main card is 5" x 5". Image panel is popped up.
Attached 1/4" black gingham ribbon...

Really beautiful--I like how you colored the leaves but left tiny bits untouched; love your sanded background, your double-matting, and your colors. Great card!

Wow!! This is bold and beautiful. I LOVE the colors you chose, and those leaf images are great. You really captured your inspiration poster well!! I also like how you distressed your images with the sanded background stamp--that looks cool. And speaking of cool, that leaf brad is awesome and the perfect embellishment. Super job on both challenges!!
