For today's technique challenge, to make a card using the stand up fold. Details for this fold can be found at the challenge thread located here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Great fold...very enjoyable!
Saw a post on Sherry Cheever's (BadSherry) blog. She had used water color paper on her project and I was inspired to include watercolor paper on my project today. I had already stamped out some of these gorgeous horse images last week or so. The stamp belongs to a friend of mine. Had done some on watercolor paper, too, and they were still out on my desk, so here she is again! Used water color crayons and an aquapainter to color the image. Edges were distressed and sponged using distress inks. Whole image panel is popped up. Added some hardware from SU and CTMH. I think it is my destiny to only have cards that require extra postage...they are either a wierd size, or they are all bumpy!! :0) Guess somone has to support snail mail!
Anyway, thanks for a great challenge, Lynn, and thanks all for taking a closer look!

Your card is gorgeous. And, I am with you on the extra postage. Every card I send out cost extra. But what is hilarious is my home post office charges me twice as much as the post office in the next town over. What's up with that? tfs

Lynnor, I loved seeing your borrowed horse image again. I love how it looks on this stand up card. I like the color combo that you used. The hardware may make the cost of mailing it go up, but it looks great.

Wow, this is an excellent manly card. Love your watercolouring and the way the horse seems to be coming off the page. By the way, my husband loves it also.
