This fabulous image belongs to a scrapbooking friend, Deb. On Friday she brought her stamps and I OBVIOUSLY had to stamp some off....I LOVE this image and it is perfect for the Flourishes Challenge: http://flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com/
for their new releases and the Inspiration Challenge and was inspired by this poster:
I stamped two copies of the image and chalked them both, cutting out the chairs and layering it on 3D foam dots. The water is coloured with chalks and then I have added white gel pen and clear Kindy Glitz to add 'movement' to it! The close up shows it better but these things are never the same as IRL! The frame has been lightly washed with watercolour pens and an aqua pen, and the sky sponged lightly. The edges of the image and the blue cs have been torn and sponged and layered on True Thyme CS. I added corrugated card to the bottom left corner and it was surprising how much it added...I love the textured look it gives - so it fits this weeks Ways to Use It Challenge as well!
This is one of my favourite cards, I just love the softer more washed look that has happened with this mix of techniques...and who can resist the serenity that a scene like this offers....if only I was really there!!

Oh that is one gorgeous image and you've done more than justice to it, Linda! I love how you popped up the chair - so darling!! It really is a serene scene - so lovely!!Love that bit of corrugated paper... it gives your card a bit of a vintage look... you know, maybe I am wrong, but I think that I am familiar with the painter and have seen prints of this image with the saying........ anyways - just lovely!

Don't know why I put this into my fave's since I don't own that stamp!! But I LOVE the way it makes me feel!!! I love the added dimension of the chair, the softness of your coloring and I absolutely love the touch of the corrugated corner!! Fantastic job!! (Guess I just got to get out and find that stamp!)

Linda This is so peaceful looking it must be early, early in the morning before the hoards of people descend on the beach. Or perhaps it is someone's private beach. Just an awesome card. What a creative person you are!!

This is so pretty - soft and serene! The dimension you've created makes one feel as if they are part of the scene and not just looking in - Wonderful !!
