My combined TLC227 (faux burnt edges) and CC225 challenge card. This will be our sons birthday card as it looked very masculine to me.
I love the colors So Saffron, Night of Navy and Kraft together. I stamped the S Saffron with the It's Your Birthday sentiment and then stamped off the leaves from Best Blossoms (ret). After tearing with my Tearing Edge the fun began :-) I sponged the edges with Creamy Caramel, Ranger Distressed Walnut and Ranger Black Soot for the faux burnt edges. I really liked the results.
The striped DP and taffeta ribbon are Kraft. The flowers were inked with N of Navy and stamped onto Kraft CS and then cut out with my papersnips #a must have). I also added Crystal Effects to the center of the flowers.
I spritzed my N of Navy CS with water before dry EB with my Texturz #2 plates. It really did make the dots stand out more. Then added more distressing to the CS edges with my Cutting Kit.
I really like the results and hope Levi does too. My DH did.....that is a good sign :-) TFL
Happy Fourth of July to all and especially to our Military Families. Thanks for all your sacrifices keeping our Great Nation safe :-) You are the Best!

Fantastic card, Nancy! The faux burnt edges for the sentiment panel are awesome and I love the leaves in the BG! Best Blossoms is one of my all-time favorite sets. The color combination is great! Levi will love it!

Wow! Love this very earthy card with this beautiful set (which I still have). Great colors! Love those distressed and sponged edges. Really does look burnt!
